What Participants Say

I feel more empowered to be able to recognize and support someone in need of help. It was a great class and should be mandatory.
Danit Erlich made me feel safe and welcome. The level of empathy and reassurance she showed throughout the class was perfect for this subject matter.

"I am debriefing with participants and already hearing stories about how they are putting the training to use. One staff person told me that she had reason to ask a member if they were suicidal. She was very grateful for the class and said she was able to ask the question and provide follow-up support. Another member told me that he now recognized signs of mental health and substance use challenges in behavior from a couple of co-workers that he had previously overlooked, and that he felt more ready to provide support".

Why should you take the class with me?

During the training, I highlight the importance of culture awareness, culture humility and encourage participants to share about their culture.

I talk about the importance of self care and encourage participants to share what they like to do for self care.

Participants feel comfortable sharing and asking questions and feel the training added more tools to their toolbox.
